Crow Wing County had 36 foreclosures in March, the highest number for a month total since last July.
While the numbers have risen, they are still lower compared to the previous year. In March of 2011, there were 58 foreclosures.
Karsen Bryce King, the 16-year-old Ironton male charged with second-degree intentional murder of his father Stanley Bryan King on Sept. 15 at King's home in Ironton, appeared in Crow Wing District Court Wednesday.

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to several calls this week, with the most recent call at 10:31 a.m. Wednesday at First Congregational Church, 415 Juniper St., that turned out to be a false alarm. Earlier Wednesday at 8 a.m.
BAXTER - This week, potentially Friday depending on weather and wind, a planned burn is expected at Camp Ripley covering thousands of acres.
The aerial burn will utilize helicopters from the camp and the Department of Natural Resources.
WALKER - Cass County Board approved the updated county five-year capital improvement plan Tuesday. It calls for using solid waste fee revenue to replace the transfer station baler in 2014 for an estimated $225,000.
WALKER - Land Commissioner Joshua Stevenson obtained county board approval Tuesday to advertise 18 non-conservation land parcels for sale to the public at a 9 a.m. June 23 auction at the courthouse in Walker.
