WALKER — Cass County Health, Human and Veterans Services-Public Health will host a listening session with the community about creating a vision
and planning for healthier communities.
The Cass County community is invited to come and share its future visions of what a healthier community could be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Cass County Courthouse, Commissioners Meeting Room located at 303 Minnesota Ave W. in Walker.
In addition to listening session, another way to provide community feedback is through a short Community Health Needs Assessment via survey monkey link at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FBRQ8FZ which will be open for comments though Feb. 14. The community’s perspectives on what healthy communities are and visioning for the future of Cass County is very important. The health of communities is dependent on many aspects when factoring in individual, systems and population levels of health. Cass County Health, Human and Veterans Services-Public Health as a Local Public Health Agency is responsible for assessing the health needs of the community and engaging the community in the process of mobilizing change for a healthier community. After input, key community health issues will be identified and a community health improvement plan will be established through partnerships and collaboration.
For further information on listening session or mailing a copy of survey is needed, please contact Cass County Public Health at 218-547-1340 ext. 201 or visit www.co.cass.mn.us.
