Firefighters respond to multiple calls
The Brainerd Fire Department responded to several calls Wednesday morning.
At 8:54 a.m., firefighters were called to Good Samaritan Society-Woodland, 100 Buffalo Hills Lane, to a fire alarm. It was reported that burned toast set off the alarm and firefighters were canceled en route. Then at 9:45 a.m., they were called to a two-vehicle personal injury crash on 13th Street and Oak Street, where one of the drivers was taken by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center. At 11:27 a.m., firefighters were called to Wausau Paper on Mill Avenue. It was reported that Wausau was working on its system and the alarm accidently went off. Firefighters were canceled on scene.
