Attention is especially focused on children during the holiday season. Crow Wing, Cass and Aitkin counties and BL Broadcasting have recently completed another successful Radio-a-thon To Prevent Child Abuse.
We hear the slogan “it shouldn’t hurt to be a child” and are reminded that there are many social workers, teachers, neighbors, mentors and others speaking out for children, as their own voices may be too timid or misunderstood.
Children count on adults to make the world a safe and happy place to live. Mentors help children to thrive and have a voice. Will you speak up for a child in need? In the Brainerd lakes area we have 26 boys and 12 girls waiting for a mentor. You can make a difference. Be a mentor.
Kinship Partners serves families in Crow Wing County, southern Cass County and the Staples/Motley area by providing positive role models to youth from the ages of 5 to 14. We have offices in Brainerd, Pequot Lakes, Crosby and Staples.
