Baxter man injured in Monday crash
BAXTER — An 89-year-old Baxter man was injured in a two-vehicle crash reported at 4:21 p.m. Monday on Fairview Road and Inglewood Drive in Baxter, reported the Baxter Police Department.
Paul Axt was transferred by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center where he was treated and then released.
The other driver, Janice Heapy, 64, Baxter, was not injured.
St. Paul woman injured in Monday crash
A 61-year-old St. Paul woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash reported at 2:05 p.m. Monday on Highway 371 on the bypass junction south of Brainerd/Baxter, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.
Jane C. Cacich was transferred by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center where she was treated and released. The state patrol reported that it was not known if the other driver, Robyn E. Young, 47, Little Falls, was injured. The hospital had no information on her condition.
It was reported that the Saturn wagon driven by Cacich was traveling northbound and came across the median and hit the southbound minivan driven by Young. The vehicles came to a rest in the right, southbound ditch.
