LAPORTE — An 18-year-old Cass Lake man was killed Monday when the vehicle he was driving left the roadway, over-corrected to the left and rolled over coming to a rest on Highway 200, just south of Laporte, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.
Anthony W. Hare, Jr., was taken to a Bemidji hospital, where he died. The state patrol reported that Hare did have alcohol detected in his system.
Hare had two passengers in his vehicle, Johnathan C. White, 22, Waubun and Darnell J. Cloud, 15, Cass Lake, who also had alcohol detected in their systems. Cloud also was taken to the Bemidji hospital for non-life threatening injuries. It was reported that White also had non-life threatening injuries, but the hospital was not recorded in the state patrol’s report.
The crash was reported at 2 a.m.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office and the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office assisted the state patrol at the scene.
