‘Tilt’ arrives at Minneapolis Underground Film Festival
“Tilt,” an independent feature film shot in Brainerd and produced by Brainerd residents Phil Holbrook and Jeremy Doyle, will premiere Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Minneapolis Underground Film Festival.
The premiere will be held in the St. Anthony Main Theatre and the film will be presented at 6:10 p.m. Tickets are $9 and can be purchased at stanthonymaintheatre.com or the box office.
Pre-production of “Tilt” started in early 2010. Principal shooting took place in the fall of 2010 with the help of several local businesses including The Last Turn Saloon, Crow Wing Food Co-op, Select Life Chiropractic, Easy Rider Bikes and Brainerd Lakes Brewery. Additional shooting took place in the summer of 2011. While the majority of the cast came from outside the area, there were several local theatre regulars cast including David Vieths, Laura Busch and Kevin Yeager.
Visual effects and editing were completed at Silent Shout Productions of Brainerd in early 2013 after test screenings took place in 2012. “Tilt” is a thriller that deals with the reconciliation of an estranged father daughter relationship after a terrible event occurs in their lives.
