His methods provide a solid foundation for riders of all disciplines because it emphasizes balance and lightness in the horse.
The four-day event starts Thursday with a lecture and discussion of Barbier’s new book, “The Alchemy of Lightness: What Happens Between Horse and Rider on a Molecular Level and How it Helps Achieve the Ultimate Connection.”
Friday through Sunday, Barbier will be in Spirit Horse Center’s arena with those who signed up to participate in the clinic with their horses. Barbier will use his riding insights and methods to instruct each of them on ways to improve their riding skills. The clinic is also open to those who want to watch rather than participate.
