The Crow Wing County Land Services Department will be hosting an information session designed for citizens to gain a better understanding of the property tax process.
The information session is planned from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Land Services Building in Brainerd.
“It’s very important that people understand how the property tax system works,” said Land Services Supervisor Gary Griffin. “That’s what this session is designed to achieve.”
The property taxation policies and procedures the county must follow are determined by the state Legislature. These laws and rules are administered by the Department of Revenue in St. Paul.
