Affinity Plus volunteers to perform act of kindness Saturday
Affinity Plus in Brainerd on Saturday is helping paint the exterior of the Crow Wing Food Co-Op and repair a fence as part of its campaign of volunteerism and charitable giving.
Affinity Plus started a “Plus It Forward” campaign that supports and recognizes people who make a difference in the lives of others by performing an act of kindness. The organization designated Saturday as its statewide “Plus It Forward Day” and branches across the state will be spearheading a volunteer effort to improve the lives of people in their communities.
“We believe in people, and we believe that we can make a difference in the lives of people. ‘Plus It Forward’ brings this idea to life, and allows us the opportunity to directly impact those around us. We are proud to involve local communities in our efforts and we are excited about the impact this day can have on so many,” said Dave Larson, interim president and CEO of Affinity Plus, in a news release.
The Affinity Plus in Brainerd will be partnering with Hirshfield’s Paint and Diversified Handyman LLC to help paint the exterior of the Crow Wing County Co-Op and repair a fence line from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers are welcome to join Affinity Plus to help paint or repair the fence, and can meet at the Co-Op.
In the near future, Affinity Plus will be launching the Plus It Forward website on which anyone can share their stories about giving or receiving acts of kindness.
