■ Passenger injured, driver arrested in crash
DEERWOOD — A 24-year-old Deerwood man was injured in a one-vehicle rollover crash reported at 11:56 p.m. Wednesday on the 20000 block of Crow Wing County Road 111, reported the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department.
It was reported that the vehicle drove briefly off the roadway on the north side of the road causing it to skid across the roadway toward the ditch on the south side of County Road 111. The vehicle rolled making contact with the ditch and came to a stop on its roof.
Timothy Durbin was transported by the Crosby Ambulance to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.
The driver, a 20-year-old Brainerd woman was arrested for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and criminal vehicular operation and underage drinking and driving.
Zone 4 First Responders and Deerwood Fire Department assisted on scene.
■ Pedestrian versus vehicle
A 25-year-old Brainerd man was injured after being hit by a vehicle at 5:16 p.m. Wednesday on South Sixth Street and Laurel Street in Brainerd, reported the Brainerd Police Department.
Allan Bunting was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. The hospital had no information available on Bunting Thursday.
The driver, Dustin Hines, 24, Nisswa, was not injured.
■ Five injured in crash in Jenkins
JENKINS — A 26-year-old Pequot Lakes man and three of his passengers were injured in a two-vehicle crash reported at 3:27 p.m. Sept. 6 on Hay Creek Trail in Jenkins, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.
Dallas D. Moorhouse was stopped on Highway 371 at Hay Creek Trail, waiting to make a left turn. A vehicle driven by Michael Stommes, 63, Brooklyn Park, was southbound on Highway 371 and rear-ended Moorhouse’s vehicle. Stommes stated that he was not paying attention.
Moorhouse and three of the passengers, Madelyn Moorhouse, 5; Westen Moorhouse, 3; Dalton Moorhouse, 1 1/2; were all taken to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd where they were treated and released.
■ St. Augusta man injured avoiding a deer
A 65-year-old St. Augusta man was injured when the motorcycle he was driving crashed and rolled on its side, trying to avoid a deer at 2:22 p.m. Sept. 7 on Crow Wing County 29 in Pequot Lakes, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.
Kenneth M. Schwagel was injured and taken to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. The hospital had no information available on Schwagel Thursday.
