Nisswa Community Children’s Library Summer Reading Program
The Nisswa Community Children’s Library would like to thank everyone who helped make our 2013 Summer Reading Program “Dig Into Reading” a huge success once again. Ninety-two children were enrolled in our program, actively reading all summer long. They were rewarded with weekly prizes and a free paperback book. A special thank you goes out to those who provided our weekly Wednesday morning programming; Black Bear 4H group, Ted Feyder, DNR Conservation Officer Nikki Shoutz, Michelle Pfeiffer, Northern Tracker’s Railroad Club, Robert and Lynn Halbrook and Jon Adams and friends. Also a special thank you goes out to Rafferty’s Pizza for providing pizza for our Reading Celebration. Of course, this free program wouldn’t be possible without the support of this year’s sponsors: The Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation, Nisswa Women of Today and the Crow Wing Power Community Trust. We thank you for seeing the value of literacy in young children. It truly does make a difference for not only their future, but our own.
