A broadside crash on Highway 169 claimed the life of a Pequot Lakes man Saturday.
The crash was reported at 8 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 169 and County Road 3 in Aitkin County.
Pequot Lakes resident Roger Langenbau, 74, was driving a 1999 Cadillac DeVille east on County Road 3.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported Langenbau ran the stop sign at the intersection with Highway 169 and was killed when his vehicle was hit broadside. Langenbau was not wearing a seat belt.

Swenson, 69, also of Pequot Lakes, was seriously injured. He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis. Swenson was wearing a seat belt.
The other vehicle, a 2011 Buick Lucerne driven by Edward Cirkl, Jr., 66, Minneapolis, was traveling north on Highway 169 at the time of the crash. He was seriously injured and taken to Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin. His passenger, Janell Cirkl, 65, Minneapolis, was also seriously injured and taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. Both were wearing seat belts.
