Area high school juniors
win Crow Wing Power contest
Three area high school students will travel to Washington D.C. in June with about 1,000 other students from around the nation after winning the Crow Wing Power contest.
The winners of the Washington D.C. trip are: Ashlee Hauble, parents Lee and Kathryn from Brainerd; Journee Howard, parents Shaun and Jen from Pine River, and Jessica Nies, whose parents are Robert and Cindy from Breezy Point.
Crow Wing Power joins other cooperatives around the nation to offer high school juniors a trip to the nation’s capital in Washington D.C. Students in Morrison, Crow Wing and Cass counties entered the contest by writing a short essay about a new energy technology idea or a futuristic energy thought.
