Mt. Ski Gull board
member to experience ups and downs
Sean Kaneski, a Mt. Ski Gull Board of Directors member, will ski down and walk up Mt. Ski Gull Saturday, Feb. 23, doing the equivalent of a half-marathon in order to raise funds for the recreational ski area near Gull Lake.
He estimated he would have to go up and down the hill about 40 times, Mt. Ski Gull officials said. Kaneski had secured just under $40,000 in pledges by Thursday and was hoping to raise $50,000.
The fund-raising event is expected to run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a group of supportive skiers joining him at about 1 p.m.
