Local author launches first book
CROSBY — Lynda J. Olander Converse will launch and release her first book “His Name Was Merle – Our Journey through Alzheimer’s Disease” at a book signing event scheduled from 3-6 p.m. Tuesday in Crosby at the Heartwood Senior Living Center Conference Room. Converse will answer questions and sign purchased books from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Alzheimer’s disease is a devastating illness that strikes many families, leaving them searching for answers and clinging to memories. In the book, Converse shares the story of her father’s life with Alzheimer’s and the impact on their family. The book captures the family’s most treasured memories, detailing poignant stories of life before Alzheimer’s that show the character of their parents. Converse gives a snapshot of the journey from diagnosis to hospitalization and beyond.
