Clinic schedules and program information
Crow Wing County Community Services Health Division currently provides immunizations to people who are uninsured or underinsured. For children 18 years and younger the cost is $5 per shot and for adults 19 years or older the cost is $10 per shot. No one is turned away for inability to pay. Shingles vaccine is now available for uninsured or under insured adults age 60 or older. Immunization Clinics are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month from 8:15 am. to 4:15 p.m. by appointment at the Crow Wing County Community Services Health Division office, 204 Laurel Street, Suite 12, Brainerd. Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). This program provides nutrition education, referrals to medical providers and benefits for specific foods for pregnant, post-partum and breast-feeding women, infants, and children up to age 5. Clinics are held at the Crow Wing County Community Services Health Division office in Brainerd and once a month at Heartwood in Crosby. WIC has generous income guidelines. Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening – SAGE/Komen is a grant that will pay for an annual exam, Pap smear and mammogram for women over 40 who meet generous income guidelines. If you have insurance that covers this procedure but you have a deductible, SAGE/Komen may pay the deductible.
