The three finalists for the Wadena-Deer Creek superintendent’s position have been named.
The Wadena-Deer Creek School District announced that the finalists are:
Christopher Mills, superintendent at Stephen/Argyle Central since 2000; Kevin Wellen, superintendent at New Richland Public Schools since 2007; and Lee Westrum, superintendent at Benson Public Schools since 2007.
The three candidates will interview with the school board beginning at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday in the Robertson Theatre at the WDC Middle/High School. The meeting is open to the public.
The contract of the current superintendent, Virginia Dahlstrom, expires June 30. She has said she plans to move back to Mankato to be closer to family.
