■ Crow Wing County permits
In other county permits in 2012:
■ 155 shoreland alteration permits issued, up from 82 in 2011, for a 89 percent increase.
■ 254 stormwater management plans and 15 shoreline buffer restorations.
■ 274 new septic systems permitted compared to 255 in 2011 with 193 of those new installations and 81 upgrades to existing systems that were not functioning properly.
■ 768 existing septic systems were inspected with 739 of those approved for a 96 percent approval rating. Non-compliant systems need to be replaced within 10 months.
■ 127 land use enforcement cases were reported, of which 92 were resolved for a 72 percent closure rate. At the start of 2013, there were 35 open cases. Such cases included building without a permit, dirt moving within the shoreland district and junk.
