Youth ski program conducted at Northland Arboretum
On Sundays, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., the Brainerd Nordic Ski Club hosts a Youth Ski Program for children between 4-14 years of age at Northland Arboretum.
There are nearly 75 children enrolled in the second year of the program. The group meets at the Northland Arb before hitting the trails. Parents are welcome to join as long as they are on skiis. Many volunteer “coaches” from the ski club are also involved. There are six more Sundays when lessons will be conducted. The children are allowed to keep the equipment throughout the winter season and between lessons to encourage weekday use.
