Morrison foundation announces grant rules
Grant applications are now being accepted through Feb. 28 from 501(c)3 nonprofits, school districts and local units of government and organizations that are funded through these entities and serve Morrison County. The Morrison County Area Foundation (MCAF) announced the availability of grant funding to support worthwhile projects in Morrison County that provide a benefit to the county’s citizens and represent a broad public interest. The foundation’s advisory board will select five projects for awards of up to $1,000 each through a competitive review process.
“We are looking to expand our grantmaking to worthwhile causes in Morrison County that might not otherwise be considered for grand money,” stated Robin Klosowski, foundation board president. The board will review applications and make grant determinations by May 1, 2013.
The Morrison County Area Foundation is a component fund of the Initiative Foundation and serves as a philanthropic vehicle for accumulating and distributing financial resources to benefit all of Morrison County. Historically, MCAF has awarded funds to support the Vietnam Veterans Moving Wall exhibit, Certified Nursing Assistant program scholarships, a retail market study for the city of Little Falls and Oasis/Share A Meal’s annual Morrison County Home Fix-up event.
