BIWABIK, Minn. (AP) — St. Louis County sheriff's deputies are looking for two men who allegedly used police emergency lights to attempt to pull over a female driver.
The woman told authorities the incident happened on county Highway 4 about five miles south of Biwabik Saturday after dark. A small, unmarked car used dash-mounted police emergency lights, but she became suspicious of the men's appearance when she saw them in her rear-view mirror.
Sheriff's officials say she drove away and was not pursued.
WDIO-TV (http://bit.ly/WonXf0 ) says sheriff's deputies advise any driver who's suspicious of a traffic stop to drive to a well-lit or populated area, call 911 to report the incident, and request identification of any person claiming to be an officer.

Hot? in Biwabic =
lost tourist!
Well
I have never been there but I hear there is a good strip joint not to far away in Gilbert. Is it still there??
I dunno,
dens of iniquity aren't the forte of gentlemen like me!
Yeh right!!
With an answer like that me think's you & that fred guy are ricky's main boys!! So how are you & fred going to help the farmers??
Bring 'em home
After hearing that I think they can follow me home, then they're on my turf. But I don't think they want my # anyway.
Maybe they would just want to know if I know you dudes.
I wouldn't
I wouldn't pull over. I'd hit 911 speed dial on my cell, intercom, and tell them what is going on. I'd only stop at a well lit business.
Sick men must be so damn ugly they have to do it in the dark.
Gladiators, OFB..
I think it's closed ;)
Nice place if you're 17 and want a beer.
Good, nan.
This scenario has been circulated by email frequently.
It is disturbing that the macho men writing here don't recognize the potential violence against women that could be happening and instead seek to blame her for being attractive.
Oh, I see some of the posts have been taken down. Good job, Dispatch.
Waaaaa
waaaa.........
Arm yourselves!
Attempted Stop
In that area there isn't a lot for population and well lit places to drive to. Also, cellphone service can be limited which make it a perfect situation for things like this. I'm sure law enforcement is taking this seriously and it would be nice if the readers did the same. I teach safety and awareness and I encounter some very interesting stories. The lady did the right thing by continuing to drive. It could have easily turned into a very nasty situation.
Until
Until it happens to some macho man's wife or daughter. Will they say it's the woman's fault then? Nope, tough man chase down bad men (pounding chest).
I'd drive to Virginia or Hoyt Lakes before I'd pull over.
