CROOKSTON, Minn. (AP) — Married for 65 years, relatives say Clifford and Eva Vevea (VEE'-vee) did everything together.
And with their health failing, their son, Kip Vevea, says they were ready to die together. The Crookston couple passed away of natural causes within hours of each other at Valley Eldercare Center Sunday.
Vevea says his 93-year-old dad and 90-year-old mother went dancing nearly every weekend when they were younger, painted the house together and were always close companions.
With their beds pushed together at the care center, a nurse asked Eva Vevea if she would like to hold her husband's hand one more time after he died — and within hours she passed away.
The Grand Forks Herald (http://bit.ly/UKN1Qt ) says a funeral for the couple will be held Saturday in Crookston. The couple will be buried next to each other at a Thief River Falls cemetery.

I agree and would say- touching . I've only been married 36 years so, I can't imagine 65 years together. The relatives
are probably grateful as if one was left, they would have a
hard time.
Touching.

Ya have me by 11 yrs. Congratulations thats cool!! The reason I said anything on this is because there was a couple from my area that the same thing happened last Yr. Just can't remember how many years now. It was a long time though. They were in their 90's too.

I was 18 when I said my vows. Young by today's standards. People don't get married till they are in their 20's or so. Wait till they are in their 30's to have kids. Nope, we had our kids at a young age so we would be young enough to enjoy our grand kids. We have 3 and loving it :)
How Wonderful....
What a lovely ending and beginning.
