■ Miller Black Bear Trail proposal to go before trails committee Jan. 23
The public comment period for the proposed all-terrain vehicle Miller Black Bear Trail is closed.
Crow Wing County will have 30 days to respond to comments and modify the project proposal.
The proposal will be presented to the Parks and Trails Advisory Committee on Jan. 23. Feedback from the advisory committee will be implemented into the proposal and then the plan will be presented to the county board for a decision.
The response to comments will be posted on the county website at http://www.co.crow-wing.mn.us/index.aspx?nid=291 after the advisory committee meeting.
If the project is approved by the county board, an application is then made to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for grant-in-aid trail status. The project will have to go through the DNR’s seven step process.
