Crow Wing County employees contribute more than $18,000 to United Way
Crow Wing County employees just finished their annual United Way employee campaign and contributed more than $18,000 to United Way of Crow Wing & Southern Cass Counties through payroll deductions.
“It’s really very important, especially as a public organization, for us to give back to the community that so richly blesses us with the opportunity to serve,” said County Administrator Tim Houle in a news release. “I am very proud of the county’s employees for stepping up to the plate at precisely the time when the services of United Way funded agencies are most needed within the community.”
Houle said the United Way isn’t the only philanthropic effort of employees. Some closely support the Relay for Life, the food shelf, and other charities throughout the year as well, Houle stated.
