NISSWA — A 56-year-old Jenkins woman was injured Tuesday when the vehicle she was driving swerved to miss a deer, hit two signs and then crashed into a tree on Main Street in Nisswa, reported the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office.
Susan Johnson was taken by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd for non-life- threatening injuries.
The crash was reported at 6:04 a.m.
Pequot Lakes Police assisted the sheriff’s office at the scene.

It wasn't the deer's fault,
it happened at the deer crossing sign.
