House Speaker-designate Paul Thissen last week announced the Minnesota House of Representatives committee assignments for the 2013-2014 biennium, selecting state Rep.-elect Joe Radinovich, DFL–Crosby, to serve on the Early Childhood and Youth Development Policy, Education Finance and Housing Finance and Policy Committees.
“I’m honored to be serving on these important committees and looking forward to working on one of our most important issues — the educating and development of our children,” said Rep.-elect Radinovich. “Years of inadequate investment have left our schools and our children without the resources they need to succeed. In Crosby-Ironton, we’ve lost our Gifted and Talented program, have no librarians, teach just one language, and have made major cuts to technical education, choir, band, and art programs. We have to make a change.”
Rep.-elect Radinovich is a fourth-generation Cuyuna Ranger and an avid outdoorsman. He is a member of the Cuyuna Lakes and Aitkin Chambers of Commerce, the Minnesota Farmers Union, Ducks Unlimited, and several community and interest organizations. He owns a home in Crosby and has been active with Kinship Partners for more than four years.
The legislative session is scheduled to begin on Jan. 8.

Be yourself and the person we have come to know through these boards and your campaign. Congratulations and good luck!
