A pin-hole sized leak discovered in the Brainerd water tower on Front and 10th Street on Dec. 12 was in the process of being repaired by Brainerd Public Utilities Thursday afternoon.

BPU Superintendent Scott Magnuson said the leak was in line to be repaired following the report on Dec. 12 but things fell through with issues getting the electric bucket trucks up to the leak.

Magnuson added that while for now it is a simple plug to stop the leak, come the summer months, BPU is going to have to look at some longer term repairs for the tower.
