Area residents can rest assured that winter isn’t going to stick around just yet. Flurries that started Sunday afternoon and through the evening looks to be the only snow for the Brainerd lakes area.
According to the National Weather Service — Duluth, Brainerd and surrounding areas are not expected to get much snow throughout the week, with the next possible chance coming over the weekend. But with warmer temperatures expected on the weekend, the National Weather Service reported that it could be rain instead of snow.
