What’s open/closed for Thanksgiving holiday
The Brainerd Dispatch business office is closed Thursday, Nov. 22, but the newspaper was published that day as well as Friday.
Post offices are closed Thanksgiving but postal services will be resumed Friday.
Most banks were be closed Thanksgiving and and will reopen Friday.
Local and state government offices were closed Thursday and many on Friday as well.
Some retail stores will be closed Thursday and most will have extended shopping hours Friday through Sunday. However this year, several stores will begin their Black Friday hours in the night hours on Thursday.
Public libraries will be closed Thanksgiving but will open Friday.
Most grocery stores will be closed Thanksgiving and reopen Friday.
Many convenience stores will remain open Thursday.
St. Cloud VA Health Care System outpatient clinics and administrative offices, including the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Brainerd, will be closed on Thursday.
The Brainerd and Crow Wing Public Transit System (Dial a Ride) will not operate Thursday or Friday.
