Vehicle fire turns
into grass fire
The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a call at 12:02 p.m. Monday of a vehicle fire that turned into a grass fire on 11011 Crow Wing County Road 8 in rural Brainerd. It was reported that about an acre burned.
Firefighters also responded to a gas leak at 9:08 p.m. Friday on 6440 Estate Drive in Brainerd. It was reported that the gas stove was left on. The area was ventilated and then firefighters cleared the scene.
At 3:07 p.m. Friday, firefighters also responded to a two-vehicle crash along Highway 371 North of Baxter. The Minnesota State Patrol reported that one person was injured, but not transported to the hospital.
