Staples library offers computer class and bus tour opportunity
STAPLES — The Staples Public Library is offering File Management Computer Class on Nov. 29 and a trip to see “It’s a Wonderful Life” on Dec. 9.
File Management Computer Class will run from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 29 and is for adults. Participants will learn how to manage files and folders in MS Windows Explorer. Discover the secrets of drag and drop and folder options. Learn how to save and retrieve files using various storage media such as CDs, DVDs, USB flash drives and more. Register for this class is if you have attended one of the library’s basic computer classes or have used a computer and are familiar with the basics. The class will be presented by Charlie Crews from the Todd County Digital Literacy Program. Attendance limit is eight and preregistration is required.
The Staples and Eagle Bend public libraries are providing a bus trip Dec. 9 to the Alexandria Area Arts Theatre for adults and teens to attend “It’s a Wonderful Life.” The bus will leave Staples at noon and Eagle Bend at 12:30 p.m. The performance begins at 2 p.m. with a backstage tour after the performance. The bus will return to Eagle Bend at 5:30 p.m. and Staples at 6:00 p.m. Limited tickets are available, only two per adult, while supplies last. There is no charge for the bus and play. Individuals may bring along their own snacks. This outing is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
