Police investigate hit and run in Baxter
BAXTER — A 51-year-old man was struck by a vehicle at 9:56 p.m. Wednesday at Conservation Drive and Excelsior Road in Baxter.
Paul Ray Kremer, Brainerd, was transported to St. Cloud Hospital for injuries suffered in the crash. An update on his condition was not immediately available.
Baxter Police Sgt. Investigator Russ Wicklund said the investigation was submitted for possible charges against the driver for leaving the scene of a crash. Police are searching for a Chrysler Sebring which they believe was the type of vehicle involved in the incident.
Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office and Brainerd Police Department assisted on the scene.
