The Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport Commission personnel committee met Tuesday to discuss a salary and benefits package for its new airport manager, Jeff Wig. The package offered includes a preliminary yearly salary of $76,760. The initial salary offered would last through a six-month probation period then, pending successful probation period, increase to $80,800 annually.
Wig was present at the committee’s meeting. Wig has not officially accepted the committee’s offer, but has elected to take 48 hours to think it over before accepting the offer.
Should Wig, a dean at Central Lakes College, accept, the personnel committee will present the salary and benefits package to the entire airport commission at the next regularly scheduled meeting, Dec. 6.
