Distinguished Service Banquet scheduled Tuesday
BAXTER — The Distinguished Service Awards Banquet will be held Tuesday at Arrowwood Lodge at Brainerd Lakes in Baxter (formerly The Lodge).
Social hour will begin at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. with awards to follow.
This year’s award recipients include: Kathleen Thorson, Outstanding Youth Volunteer of the Year; Mary Devine Johnson, Outstanding Young Citizen of the Year; Geneva Mollenhauer, Outstanding Senior Citizen of the Year; Sara Goble, Outstanding Child Care Provider of the Year; Bob and Arlene Jones, Outstanding Agribusiness People of the Year; David Borash, Outstanding Educator of the Year; and Gary Walters, Outstanding Citizen of the Year.
The event is hosted by Brainerd Jaycees in partnership with Brainerd Community Action, Brainerd Dispatch and Lakes Printing.
The Distinguished Service Awards Banquet is a celebration honoring residents of the Brainerd lakes community for their outstanding service. The public is invited to attend the event. Tickets are $30 at the door or $20 in advance. Sponsorship information and tickets are available by calling Riane at 330-5480 or by stopping by the Community Action office at 213 S.
