Incumbents win seats on Cass County Board
All four Cass County Board Commissioners who were up for election Tuesday will keep their seats.
Neal Gaalswyk ran unopposed for his seat in District 1, receiving 2,870 votes and Dick Downham, who also ran unopposed for his seat in District 5, received 2,012 votes.
In District 2, incumbent Robert Kangas won with 1,845 votes and Edward Nelson had 850 votes. In District 3, incumbent Jeff Peterson won with 2,788 votes and Philip Kinnunen with 924 votes.
Cass County’s three Soil and Water Supervisor District seats had no oppositions: Ken LaPorte had 12,492 votes for District 2; James Ballenthin had 12,492 votes for District 3; and Dave Harder had 12,610 votes for District 4.
