Sartell man injured after accidently shooting foot
CLARISSA — A 26-year Sartell man was injured Sunday when he was unloading his firearm after deer hunting when the firearm discharged striking him in the foot, reported the Todd County Sheriff’s Office.
Daniel Hayes was transported by private vehicle to the Staples hospital for non-life threatening injuries and later transported to St. Cloud Hospital. St. Cloud Hospital had no information available on Hayes’ condition.
The sheriff’s received the report at 6:21 p.m. Sunday of an accidental gunshot wound that occurred five miles north of Clarissa.

This story doesn't add up. I can't think of any weapon that you would unload with the barrel pointing down at your foot. Pointed at the foot of the guy next to you, maybe! Was he alone or hunting with a friend?
