Cuyuna Range Women’s Club to meet
CROSBY — The Cuyuna Range Women’s Club will meet 1 p.m. Monday in the meeting room of the Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library in Crosby.
The program will be given by Jeremy Millsop, sports writer for the Brainerd Dispatch. The 1995 Crosby-Ironton graduate and 1999 graduate of North Dakota State University will touch on his 13 years as a Brainerd Dispatch sports and golf writer. He will also tell of his writing adventure “Lakes Area Dining,” where he travels central Minnesota focusing on local restaurants, talking to aspiring and accomplished chefs and discovering unique food preparation. The father of two, who resides in Deerwood, will also discuss how he develops his stories and prepares them under deadline pressure for the daily paper.
Special music will be provided by pianist Bob Hoeft. The brief business meeting will be chaired by president Myrna Nelson. Refreshments will be served by the committee of Sylvia Graff, Nancy Jann and Meredith Poland. All Cuyuna Range area women are invited to this meeting and encouraged to join the Women’s Club.
