ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — A man has been arrested for driving while intoxicated in Stearns County twice within 21 hours.
Sheriff's officials say the 20-year-old man was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Saturday in Waite Park after he was stopped for speeding. He was released about 7 a.m. and was arrested about 17 hours later after police received a complaint about his driving.
In another alcohol-related case, a woman was arrested for driving under the influence when she came to the Stearns County Jail Friday night to pick up her husband, who had also been arrested for drunken driving.
Sheriff John Sanner tells the St. Cloud Times (http://tinyurl.com/9vuyx6x ) that having someone arrested for DWI who's supposed to be sober and picking up an inmate arrested for drunken driving is more common than most people might think.

Probably shouldn't have let
Probably shouldn't have let him out so quickly. Made him sit in detox for 72 hours or so. What kind of idiot gets a DWI and then goes drinking again the next day?

Someday who has a serious alcohol addiction and is not ready to get help. I grew up with a parent who was and still is an alcoholic. Tough to watch happen. I hope they get the help they need before they hurt some innocent bystander.
AND he's 20 years old. Not
AND he's 20 years old. Not even old enough to drink in the state of MN. Rather than being a hopeless alcoholic at such a young age, it is more likely that this is just a dumb kid with more testosterone in his system than he needs. The "I'm invincible!" mentality. Well, enjoy those 2 DWI's, and minor consumption charges. Maybe by the time you are 21, you can permanently lose your license and have really screwed up your entire life before it's even started.
He probably wanted to celebrate
getting the first one...?
