Breezy Point businesses pass compliance checks
BREEZY POINT — Recent results from alcohol compliance checks conducted in Breezy Point show that 88 percent of alcohol retailers refused a sale to someone under the age of 21.
Out of eight checks completed, seven retailers passed. Checks were conducted with both on-sale and off-sale establishments on Oct. 13.
Local law enforcement conducted the compliance checks with funding from Invitation Health Institute through the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws Program of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
Another round of checks is scheduled to be conducted after the first of the year.
