Informational meeting set Nov. 1 for teen pageants
BAXTER — An informational meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Lodge at Brainerd Lakes in Baxter regarding the 2013 Miss Brainerd Lakes Outstanding Teen and Miss Central Lakes Outstanding Teen Scholarship Pageants.
Girls between the ages of 13-17 may compete in the pageants that will be held on Jan. 6, 2013, at the Chalberg Theatre at Central Lakes College in Brainerd. Miss Brainerd Lakes Outstanding Teen contestants must live or attend school in Brainerd/Baxter, Pequot Lakes, Pillager or Crosby/Ironton school districts. The Miss Central Lakes Outstanding Teen must live or attend school in Minnesota.
The Miss Brainerd Lakes/Central Lakes Outstanding Teen Scholarship Pageant is a non-profit organization that awards scholarships to outstanding young women to help advance them academically and professionally. Participants have gone on to achieve major success in diverse fields including medicine, law, business, broadcast journalism, theater, politics, literature and more.
The Miss Minnesota Organization also has announced the newly appointed director, Cyndi Kalenberg, to the Miss Brainerd Lakes, Miss Central Lakes and Miss Brainerd Lakes Outstanding Teen, Miss Central Lakes Outstanding Teen Scholarship Program.
