Cuyuna Range Women’s Club to meet
CROSBY — The Cuyuna Range Women’s Club will meet 1 p.m. Monday in the Jessie F Hallett Memorial Library meeting room in Crosby. The program entitled “Dispelling the Myths about Hospice” will be given by Shelly Sowada, Manager of Business Development & Education at Heartland Hospice in Brainerd. Sowada will explore the benefits of hospice, explaining how it relates to planning end of life care, understanding the benefits of hospice care, and including all the different services that Heartland Hospice offers. Hospice care may not be what people think it is. As well as end of life nursing care, it may include many other responsibilities such as counselling, specialized massage therapy, or after care for the family members.
Special music will be provided by Vanessa Hudrlik of Crosby. Vanessa plays the piano, violin and cello, and she also sings. So all who attend will enjoy a variety of musical numbers.
Following the program there will be a brief business meeting chaired by president Myrna Nelson.
Refreshments will be served by the committee of Betty Damsgaard, Jerry Kester and Gloria Stewart.
