Good Coverage

Now this is the kind of coverage we need from the BDD about Camp Ripley rather than some front page headlines about some pig peace protesters at the front gate. It's hard to believe that the Under Secretary of the Army was at Camp Ripley the same day as the peace march was taking place and the BDD chose to post front page photo coverage of the protesters less than 24 hours after the protest but what should have been the front page story comes out 2-3 days later. It just confirms what most people have always thought of the BDD. Troublemakers and instigators. The people in charge at Camp Ripley should pull the press credentials of the BDD. Shame on the BDD. Heads should roll at the BDD for this kind of action.

Charlie, you're wrong

The events the Under Secretary was at were on Saturday, the International Day of Peace was Friday.
The weekend Dispatch is put together on Friday night so the coverage of the peace group went in that paper (for Sat.-Sun.).
The Under Secretary spoke on Saturday and the next issue of the paper is Monday so it went in on Sunday night in the Monday paper. Had he spoke on Friday, coverage of it would have been in the weekend issue as well.
We get along very well with the folks Camp Ripley and work with them to get the best coverage of events there we can for them and our readers.

Denton

You're right. I read the agenda wrong. He was at 3M in the cities on Friday and didn't arrive at the Brainerd airport until around 5pm Friday.
