Unlimited Learning event planned
Petaga Point, discovered in the 1920s, is located in Kathio State Park. Jim Cummings, State Archeologist for Kathio Park, will discuss the significance of the discoveries in this peninsula on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Friday at Heartland Senior Living Center, Crosby. Archeological discoveries date back to the Archaic, Middle Woodland and Late Woodland inhabitants with new perspectives influenced by newer high tech methods of dating and evaluating the artifacts found there.
This Unlimited Learning “Absent Narrative” program is made possible with the assistance of Minnesota Humanities Center grant. Members are free, a fee of $6 is charged for non-members.
