Voting by mail when you have no precinct polling place will be gone with voter ID. These people will have to go to the Brainerd Court House. I bet they aren't happy about that.
Vote No, people in these townships.
Now you are trying to tell
Now you are trying to tell the people in the townships how to vote. I think they have a mind of their own and can make
their own decision.
Maybe they work in Brainerd and are happy about it, we don't know.
Herr Goebbels
was pretty good at what southie an snow and..... and.....
all do on here.
Of course southie,
none of those people ever go to Brainerd, right?
Some folks after November 6, will be ready to...
The text of the Voter I.D. Amendment
"Shall the Minnesota Constitution be amended to require all voters to present valid photo identification to vote and to require the state to provide free identification to eligible voters, effective July 1, 2013?"
That's it, now how people can sit back an speculate on how the law itself will be written is just that, speculation.
Only the supporters
of Mickey Mouse and the dead are opposed LLR and they need those votes!
Vote by mail
I happen to live in one of those vote by mail townships and voter ID is exactly what we need. For two elections in a row now, Ms. voter fraud at the Crow Wing County elections office has screwed up the voting in our township. Last election, she had to reprint and send out a second ballot as she screwed up the first one. This after we already received our ballots and some of the people had already sent them back in completed. Now we had to send in a second ballot and trust her to throw out the first one. Now this year she has come up with 2 supervisor positions and one clerk position open for filing in our township. Trouble is there is only one supervisor position open and one clerk position. Luckily, in our township, no one filed for the second supervisor position. Our town board members were all wondering who forgot to file as an incumbent this year. Voting by mail should be eliminated and voter ID needs to be passed. If Crow Wing County can afford a new LEC, they can certainly afford to set up polling places in place of the Vote by mail areas. After the last election, when the treasurer/auditor office was combined and the auditor was handed her walking papers after a voter fraud incident under her jurisdiction just days before the election, because of our great unions, she was given her previous job back that she had before she was elected to the auditor position. That happened to be election officer so we thankfully unelected a fraudulent auditor only to have her get the same job under a new auditor/treasurer. And now, two months before this election, she screws up again. The people of this County deserve better and should demand her firing by the county board. In case you didn't know, one of the main reasons for the voter ID legislation in Minnesota this year was because of the election fraud in Crow Wing County. Isn't it nice to live in such a popular county. By the way, I'll bet you can't guess her political party affiliation? Yup, you're right, I mean left. Voter Fraud=DFL. Yes southie, after the last two elections, we would be glad to drive to Brainerd to vote. At least we would have a better chance of getting our ballot counted. Good call sml.
Sadie, it's called campaigning.
And it is good to hear these views. I also talked to some who hate driving to Brainerd from my neck of the woods.
Absentee Ballots and voting by Mail--GONE!
There's no debate, no question at all about this. It's quite simple.
What you will be voting for is requiring every voter no matter who they are, how long they have been voting, how solid a citizen they are--to physically present an ID with a photo on it to an election official in order to vote.
When you drop a ballot in the mail you are not standing there with photo ID in hand in front of an election official.
Where this has passed in other states, how this handled is always the same--people are often allowed to fill out a ballot--BUT THAT BALLOT IS NOT COUNTED, until the voter does exactly what we will be binding them to if this passes--physically go to their election official office AFTER THE ELECTION and present their ID with photo on it, to validate their ballot.
So again, think please. Even if you have a drivers license with photo and are thinking there will be no impact to you if this passes, there sure will be an impact if you vote by mail or vote absentee.
There's no way around this. No spin by democrats in play. And it's not a law that can be easily changed if in fact it's the royal mess and as costly to taxpayers that election officials themselves are telling us it will be.
It will be enshrined in the constitution! VERY difficult to toss it out then.
Even if you support the general idea of voter ID, it's impossible to argue that this was something that we see many republicans railing about all the time--a bill with hidden impact of potentially huge--but unknown at this time--negative and costly changes that will be foisted upon citizens. There's no plan for implementing this or paying for it in the legislation.
Vote yes and you are voting for a buy now-- pay later--live with the consequence forever deal.
Dutch, I agree there will be alot of partying
but if I moved like that, it means I've taken something I shouldn't have!
