A deceased male was found in a car off a county road outside of Crosby Thursday.
The discovery triggered the arrival of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension’s mobile crime lab from Bemidji.
Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl said he wasn’t releasing more information at this time because next-of-kin had yet to be notified and there were more questions to answer.
“We haven’t ruled anything out at this point,” said Dahl of the cause of death. Dahl said the male was likely in the vehicle for at least a day before a call came in tipping the Crosby Police Department as the vehicle was hidden by the trees. He declined to say where the body was found in the vehicle. The car was found in the county’s jurisdiction just off County Road 31 north of Highway 210.
