Two people were arrested Sunday after a traffic stop on State Highway 64 in southern Cass County resulted in authorities seizing 20 grams of meth, a small amount of suspected heroin, prescription medications and a large amount of cash, Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch reported in a news release.
The driver, Kevin McGuinness, 30, Minneapolis, and the passenger, Crystal Hill, 31, St Paul, were arrested on outstanding warrants.
It was reported that after the initial traffic stop there was a short pursuit and the vehicle stopped near Cass County Road 20 in Ansel Township.
An inventory search of the vehicle was preformed and drug paraphernalia was located.
The vehicle was seized and a search warrant was obtained for the vehicle where the drugs and cash were located.
