The driver of a motorcycle accident that occurred Sunday, 1.8 miles north of Crosby has passed away according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Sixty-eight-year-old Donald Boyer, of Grand Rapids, passed away as a result of the accident involving him and passenger Donnell Boyer, 65, also of Grand Rapids.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, the 1994 Honda Road-Start driven by Donald Boyer was pulling over to the shoulder of the road when it suddenly lurched and took off down the hill into a grassy ditch. The vehicle hit a downed tree, ejecting both driver and passenger.
Donald Boyer died due to injuries sustained in the crash at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday as reported by the coroner.
Condition of the passenger was not immediately available, but the state patrol report lists Donnell Boyer as having non-life threatening injury at the time of the accident.
