Does your child need immunizations before school starts?
Crow Wing County Public Health will be offering a Walk In School Immunization Clinic on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Crow Wing County Community Services Health Division, 204 Laurel Street, Suite 12, Brainerd. This clinic is for kindergarten through 12th graders in need of vaccinations in order to attend school as well as immunizations that are recommended for their age. No appointment is needed.
Shots are $5 each; however, no one is denied access due to inability to pay. Medical Assistance or Minnesota Care is also accepted as payment so bring your cards. If your health insurance pays for vaccinations, you must be seen by your home medical clinic.
A parent or legal guardian and a complete shot record are required to accompany the student or shots may not be given. If your child has a special medical problem and cannot be vaccinated or if you as a parent are conscientiously opposed to immunizations, you may receive a legal exemption.
Crow Wing County Community Services Health Division (Public Health) also holds clinics on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month by appointment only throughout the entire year. For more information, call Margie Young at 824-1098 or Stephanie Kubas at 824-1079.
