Weekly grief support group at Lakewood Health System
STAPLES — Lakewood Health System will offer weekly grief support group meetings to be held every Tuesday from June 12 through July 17 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Lakewood Health System’s Main Campus, Lower Level. Anyone grieving the loss of a loved one, child or any other loss is welcome to attend one or all meetings.
Grief support can alleviate pain associated with illness and death. Join others for discussions centering on various aspects of the grieving process: shock and denial, anger, depression, guilt, hope, renewal and acceptance. The group is facilitated by Chaplain Daryl Jacobson and social workers Kali Pachan and Kathy Wenzel.
With grief support, sharing experiences after the death of a loved one, divorce, loss of pets, possessions and even your sense of family and faith can help lift the heavy burden of grief and bereavement.
